Just like cooking at home, we don’t add artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Most orders are made the same week you place them, so your snacks arrive fresh.

Mom starts making chakri at home for one store, about fifty packets a week.
The whole family pools resources and moves into a 1,000 sq ft space with one small fryer.
Twelve team members, a 6,000 sq ft kitchen in Edison, NJ and snacks on the shelves of hundreds of stores.
“Gharana” means household. That’s where we started.
We’ve never advertised. Store owners called us after their customers asked for our chakri by name, and we grew one snack at a time, from one product to ten.
Mom, dad, son, daughter and in-laws still make every recipe the way it was made at home.
